WADE JACOBSON
I have not known a day in my life, that
music wasn’t a part of.  I picked up my
first guitar when I was three years old.
It was my older brothers, and it was
bigger than me.  At six years old, I heard
Chet Atkins for the first time, I knew at
that moment that was how I wanted to play.
So started my journey.
When I was 14, I started a little family
group.  My two sisters and I, and a girl I
went to school with, The group’s name was,
Wade and the Country Naturals. Family
harmony like the Browns trio.  I played
with them until I was 17.
After High School I went off on my own
started playing square dances and such.  I
met 2 brothers, Bob and Dean McNett.  Bob
was one of Hank Williams sr. original
Drifting Cowboys. He seemed to like that I
played a little like Merle Travis. He
landed me my first job on the road with,
The Nashville Revue. Did a lot of
traveling, worked with so many of my
country heros. It really was a gift given
to me.
After the years of road work, I worked
with very talented musicians, in different
areas of New York State. George Cee and
the Houston Band, Freddie McLean and the
Mac Brothers, Tailormade, Route 66, I have
played many styles and types of music
through my 50 years.
Now, I am working with the premier country
group in NYS. The Dean Goble Band. This is
a collection of so many talents, I am
humbled to work with such fine musicians
and singers. I hope you get the chance to
come out and catch a show, I know you will
have a great time.
